The chairman of Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall, Fabiyi Damilare Caleb has revealed that the distribution of books as part of the hall package for the recently concluded academic session will begin on Wednesday, 9th of April, 2025.
In an interview with Zik Press, Fabiyi revealed that the schedule of the book production was delayed when the Fabiyi-led administration reached out to the book publisher to change the speech.
"After the election, we had to change the speech to reflect what happened during the election. We also had to change the person we put in charge of the production of the book. When I reached out to the person in charge of the production [on Friday], he said the book will be ready on Wednesday. So when the books are ready, they will be distributed," Fadaca revealed.
When asked why the executives changed the vendor in charge of the book production, Fadaca explained that he (the vendor) wanted to change the terms of production after they reached out to change the speech, so they had to let him go.
But he assured Zik Press that Zikites who are still on campus from Wednesday would be able to get the books, while returning students will get theirs when school resumes.
Recall that the Fabiyi-led administration had started the distribution of shirts in January, with the subsequent delay in book distribution raising concerns in some quarters.
