The maximum amount payable per student in every departments, faculties and halls of residence in the school must not exceed N4,000.
This directive is contained in an internal memorandum of the University of Ibadan Student Affairs Division dated Friday, 10th of April, 2025 and signed by the Dean, Student affairs Division, Professor Isaac Adekeye Abiona, in which the the student affairs division formally informed departments, faculties and halls of residence in the school of the review.
“Kindly note that approved amount as student dues in halls of residence, faculties and departments should not exceed #4,000.00 (Four thousand naira) per student”, the memorandum read.
The memorandum also stated that other charges such as those of Dinner, T-shirt and so on are optional and not mandatory.
The release of this memo follows the resolution of the University of Ibadan Students' Representative Council which approved an increase in the basic dues payable in faculties and halls of residence in the school from #3,000 to #4,000.
