Zik Hall Press Holds Press night

Aspirants vying for executive positions in Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall underwent intense scrutiny at the Zik Hall Press Night, a tradition known for testing the competence and readiness of candidates ahead of the hall elections.

Organized by the Zik Hall Press Organization, the event provided a platform for aspirants to present their plans and address concerns raised by residents. 

In their manifesto defences, candidates for roles including general secretary, vice chairman, and hall chairman made pledges to guarantee fumigation of the reading room, the hall traditional festival and Alumni Engagement.

 Following the rigorous questioning and assessment, the results of the press night were as follows:

Adebayo Similoluwa (Vice Hall Chairman) – 48

Daniel Toluwani Adeyinka (Hall Secretary) – 56.6

Aduragbemi Kehinde (Health Minister) – 56.6

Akinwumi Emmanuel Ifeoluwa (Social Minister) – 47.4

Ogundele Emmanuel (Sports Minister) – 49

Ifurum Chidubem (Sports Minister) – 57.5

Sam Victor (Finance Minister) – 51

Ifuma Oluwatobi Ebuka (Information & Propaganda Minister) – 42

Sulaimon Oluwasegun (Information & Propaganda Minister) – Absent

Emiola Waliu Bolaji (Defence Minister) – 61.4
The Zik Hall Press Night remains a critical part of the hall’s political process, shaping residents’ perceptions ahead of the elections. With voting day approaching, the performance of aspirants at the screening is expected to influence the outcome.
