The Nnamdi Azikiwe Literary and Debating Society on Monday, the 3rd of March, 2025, inaugurated a new set of executives.
This handover is coming after the Jawwar ROL final, an event which saw a member of the Zik LnD, Uwkori Faith, win the award of the rookie of the year.
The outgoing president, Ogunjimi Alexander, thanked all those present, telling each person to assess his administration, stating what they loved about it and what they thought could have been better. He then admonished the house that respect be accorded to every member of the Literary and Debating Society, whether they are executives or not, especially the members who have held positions within the society before but would not be part of the one appointed now, before then announcing the new executives.
The new set of executives as called out by Ogunjimi Alexander are Olanrewaju Segun Oyedijo as president, Obirija Somtochukwu as vice president, Emmanuel Adebiyi as speech coach, Caleb Blessing as general secretary, Sampson Marvellous as financial secretary, Faith Uwhokori as public relations officer, and Segun Oladejo as literary head.
The new president, Oyedijo Olanrewaju, while giving his presidential address, appreciated the outgoing president and emphasized that the LnD is a team and no one is above the other. He also said it is important that everyone puts in their best to make the administration a success.
