Zik Hall Stakeholders Demand Aweda Withdraw Resolutions In 24 hours or Resign

Following their emergency meeting, the stakeholders of Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall have released an open letter of their resolutions. 

The stakeholders, which comprise of UI'SU executives from Zik, Elders council excos, former UI'SU executives, Speaker of UI  SRC, principal officers of hall legislative council, faculty presidents in Zik and Hall excos.

In their release, they resolved that the agreement between the student union and the school management does not represent the interest of the students.

 The stakeholders then listed their demands:

A. "The immediate withdrawal of the resolutions released earlier this morning signed by the President and the General Secretary, which are in direct contradiction to the decisions and stance made at previous Congresses and during the protest in 24 hours; OR

B. "The resignation of the President of the Union; OR

C. "The impeachment of the President of the Union."


The second resolution is that the members of the SRC, representing Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall constituency should communicate the decisions made to the leadership of the Students' Representative Council. 

"And to note for future situations, that the mandate of the union is to negotiate on behalf of the students and not decide on their behalf," the letter concluded.
