The Invincibles FC sent out an emphatic and ominous message to other league rivals with an absolute demolition of Young Boys FC in a gloriously chaotic and utterly one-sided 8-0 victory in the ongoing Zik Hall league played at the Maracana on saturday 10th of August.
The match kicked off with a quick start when Korede opened the scoring after a loose ball from the Young Boys' defense with the attacker's low bullet hit finding its way into the back of the net to make it 1-0. Young Boys came close to finding the equalizer with Madueke beating two of his markers but his effort was comfortably saved by the goalkeeper Mendy.
The biggie-coached side doubled their lead when Adeola Junior rose highest to head home Korede's nice dink over the top to make it 2-0. However, the invincibles continued their offensive display adding a third courtesy of Peter latching on to a korede well-timed pass and beating the man between the sticks.
It was becoming a humiliation for the fresher's team when Korede completed his brace benefiting from Victor's whipped-in cross and producing an unstoppable world-class overhead kick catching the goalkeeper unawares to make it 4-0.
Late in the first half, Korede who has been the star of the show teed off Peter Adeoti who complimented the assist poking his finish, completing his brace, and adding a fifth.
The Invincibles continued from where they stopped in the second half after coach Biggie ringed in two changes with the likes of Toki and timi coming on for Peter and Adeola respectively who already made their mark.
Barely 4 minutes after coming on, Toki the substitute played victor through on goal, rounding The goalie and finding the back of the net with his close-range finish.
The trailing side failed to respond to this utter dominance of their opponents as they conceded another when Mendy the goalkeeper whipped in a delightful cross locating Victor who scored from close range poking the ball into the net to complete his brace.
Young Boys goalie turned Toki's shot wide but he was helpless with the invincibles next effort when korede the obvious star of the show completed his hattrick sending the goalkeeper to no man's land finding the back of the net courtesy a timi assist to wrap up the demolition as the referee ended proceedings.
With the duo of Jaykareem and In Absentia, it was still a comfortable win for Coach Biggie's invincibles.
