University of Ibadan students community has outrightly rejected the meeting between the management of the university and the current leadership of the Students' Union.
This outrage is following the 3-hour long meeting which started by 3 pm, held at Adeoye Lambo Senate Chamber of the university. The students who had gathered at the front of the chamber since the start of the meeting outrightly rejected all the attempt of the Students' Union leaders to address the multitude of students after the meeting. This was because the students had resolved the representation of students by Students' Union leaders as illegitimate of the students consent and demanded that the university management address the multitude of students.
Recall that the students demonstration had started since 10 pm on the 29th of August, 2024 and as at press time, the students are reconvening at the Students' Union Building for the way forward.
