The Students' Representative Council, University of Ibadan, has demanded update on the call for congress and matters arising on school fees increment from UI'SU President, Aweda Bolaji, on July 9, 2024.
The information was made available in a letter written to Mr Aweda.
Recall that previously, UI students had demanded a congress to discuss matters arising.
"The Students' Representative Council requests an update regarding the call for congress which was validated by the signatures of 250 members of th students' community." The letter read in part.
The council also demanded a "briefing on the current status of the union's efforts to address the issue of school fees increment..."
The report, the council demanded to "be submitted on Monday, 12 August, 2024 by 12 noon.
The letter was signed by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Opeyemi Mathias Busoye and the Clerk, Hon. Quadri Olaoluwa Shoge.
