On Sunday, 28th of July, 2024, in a Meeting held at Zik Junior Common Room, the 6th Assembly of the Zik Hall Legislative Council pressnted the total sum of #213,422.00 as its annual legislative budget.
The total sum of the money is said to have been the culmination of refreshments of the 14 honourables, Publicity, Calligraphy, Legislative Broad Project Initiative, Stationery,Airtime and Data and visitation to Oyo State House of Assembly.
According to the breakdown of the budget read out by the deputy speaker, Hon. Ojile Moses, a total amount of #78,400 was budgeted for the refreshment of the 14 honourable members for the sittings they are scheduled to have this session. A total of #2000 was budgeted for calligraphy. #40,000 was budgeted for the legislative board project.
Other proposed expenses include Publicity for which #10,000 was budgeted, Stationery for which #3000 was budgeted. Airtime and data was budgeted for #10,000 while the legislative council's Visitation to Oyo State house of assembly was budgeted as #20,000 and the Miscellaneous was stipulated as #6,222.00.
Corrections and adjustments were made by honourables present at the sitting and final approval of the budget is expected soon.
