On this week's episode of Village Beauty, we had an exclusive interview with Miss Olose Oluwafolabunmi Adesola, popularly known as Fola, a 200 level student of the department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan. In this interview with Zik Hall Press correspondent, Adebesin Idris, she gives us insight into her modelling career and her perspective on Zik Hall.

Zik Hall Press: Miss Folabunmi, Kindly introduce yourself.

Miss Folabunmi: Good day, I'm Olose Oluwafolabunmi Adesola . A 200l communication and
language arts student and a model.

Zik Hall Press: The name "Folabunmi", what does it denote to you?

Miss Folabunmi: I'm not too good with Yoruba but I will break it. "OLUWA" means "God" , "Fola" means "wealth","Bunmi" implies "gift". So Oluwafolabunmi simply is "God blessed me with
a gift".

Zik Hall Press: That is really nice. You said earlier on that you are a model. How do you manage to combine modeling and academics?

Miss Folabunmi: Combining academics with any other job or position can be really tasky. Learning self- management is key when you are multitasking. I know when to go for a shoot, when to relax and when to
study.

Zik Hall Press: Apart from you first name , do you have a nickname you are called or a professional name?

Miss Folabunmi: People call me "Fola" so I adopted that as a nickname.

Zik Hall Press: Ok Miss Fola, what inspired you into modeling?

Miss Folabunmi: Growing up, I was inspired by iconic models like Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista. They showed me the power of confidence and self-expression. I wanted to embody that same energy. I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something
new, and modeling has been an incredible journey of self-discovery.

Zik Hall Press: Wow that's nice. As a communication student, how do see modelling and what can you tell people about it?

Miss Folabunmi: I see modeling as a form of expressing emotions, and ideas through physical and body language. Modeling is not just about showcasing products or clothes, but also about telling stories, evoking emotions, and creating connections with the audience. Modeling is powerful tool for self-expression and confidence-building, promoting positive body image and self-esteem.

Modeling as a form of art involves skill, creativity, and collaboration with photographers, stylists,
and designers.

Zik Hall Press: Apart from modelling, what to you do with your leisure time? What are your hobbies?

Miss Folabunmi: I love networking most especially with people who will be of mutual benefit.

Zik Hall Press: As a resident of Queen Idia hall, what can you say about Zik Hall?

Miss Folabunmi: Zik? Oh my God, I love Zik Hall ! Zik is known for it's political influence an strength. There's this aura associated with residents of the hall. Zikites radiate energy wherever they step into.

Zik Hall Press: What piece of advice can you give to Zikites?

Miss Folabunmi: Zikites are the energy house of UI.They should keep up with their energy.
