Jay Kareem's Inspired Invincibles Thumps Emergence 3-0

The invincibles have defeated Emergence FC 3-0 in the third game of match day one of the Zik hall league today at the zik hall Maracanda on Sunday 12th 2024.

Veteran attacker Jamie Kareem found the back of the net early in the game. As if that was not enough, he added another a few moments later to compound his opponent's woes, sending his name to the top of the goal scoring chart.

Invincibles nearly added to their total when Korede (Agbowo) beat his marker, drifted to the left, and fired a low shot that was saved by the goalkeeper.

The first half was pretty much controlled by the invincibles, who dictated play and created another offensive opportunity late in the first half when another well-timed pass was laid to Korede (Agbowo), who flicked over a beautiful back heel touch to J.Kareem, but his shot was inches wide, a whisker away from the woodwork. The invincibles continued from where they left off in the second half.

Still in the early exchange of the second half, Agbowo was played through on goal, shimmying with the ball and sending his marker to the cleaners, but his curled shot was blocked by Ajibola, the Emergence defender who had been on his toes ever since the blast of the whistle.

The Sotomee-coached emergence appeared more defensively compact in the second half, until their watertight defense was broken after a perfectly split through ball was laid to Korede (agbowo). With Ajibola failing to spot his marker, the attacker, who had already made his mark with an assist in the first half, found the back of the net with a superb finish, sending the goalkeeper into no man's land to triple the score.

Disappointment was clear on the faces of Samson Adetunji and Sinmiloluwa since their strategy appeared not to be going as planned. The Invincibles increased their attacking prowess with Adeola junior coming on to the pitch and making an immediate impact, playing a nice dink over the top, lobbing the defender, and finding Agbowo, who couldn't complete his brace but volleyed his effort wide.

It was a solid effort from the invincibles, living by their name and avoiding conceding goals, sending a Sotomee-coached side to the bottom of the table.
