After successfully winning their group and progressing to the knockouts, the young lions of Baluba triumphed one - nil over the talented contingent from Sultan Bello Hall.

The match which kicked off at exactly 4.32pm, had both sides starting the game quite commendably. Late in the first half, the referee awarded a penalty after the ball was handled by a defender from Sultan Bello Hall within the penalty area.

The Baluba Lions’ skipper stepped up to take it, and confidently converted the spot kick. The goal was immediately followed by fast paced football from the Bellites, but the Lions of Baluba held on till the half time whistle was blown. The game resumed for a second half, and retained its intensity. Given that a win was necessary to progress, both sides were willing to make every opportunity count. As the game reached its later stages, the Lions of Baluba finally found their rhythm and improved on what had been a very average performance. Despite the attacking talent on display, the clear cut chances and  beautiful build up play, the Lions could not double their lead.

Regardless, the defence stayed coordinated and provided the much needed support for the team, as the game ended one goal to nil,in favour of the side from Baluba. With this result, Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall advances to this year's final where they will face either Kuti or Mellanby
