The Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall of residence was thrown into a state of mourning as Zikites reacted to the sudden transfer of the Hall's Porters in the recent reshuffling of Hall Officials by the University Authority.
A message was passed by the Hall Warden, Dr. Okunlade Adelekan, announced the sudden change in the staff of the hall with seven Officials being transferred to other Halls of residence.
The news came as a surprise to most students, especially those who were already fond of these officials, as they expressed their disappointment about the latest development. Most of them pour out their frustration by begging the hall warden to revert the transfer, which he said was out of his control.
It must be noted that the reshuffling of Hall Officials is a common phenomenon in the University of Ibadan, as officials are changed mostly every four to five years, to redistribute the officials around each hall of residence.
