Zikhall Loses 7 Porters, As UI Reshuffles Hall Officials

The Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall of residence have announced the transfer of seven of the hall's staff to other Halls of residence, in the recent reshuffling of Hall Officials by the University Authority.

In a message passed to the Zikhall WhatsApp groups by the Hall's Warden, Dr. Okunlade Adelekan, on Friday, 1st of March 2024. The message read as follows " Good morning greatest zikites. I want to bring to your notice that the University has just concluded transfer of porters across all halls of residence. Most of our staff that you are familiar with have been moved to other halls while we have new ones here in Zik Hall. It is important we cooperate with them for smooth running of the hall. If you need anything, kindly approach them politely. Thank you and have a good day."

In a chat with the Hall warden, he further disclosed more information about the new changes and replacements that will follow. In his words " 6 porters were deployed to Zik Hall while 7 were transferred. When I made enquiry, the management said that it is a usual phenomenon. That they do transfer occasionally and it is time now to do so."

"We expect one more person to meet up with the number transferred from zik hall."

The names of the Porters transferred out of the hall includes: Mr Durowoju, the senior supervisor; Mr Seyi Osuntoogun, a favorite among the students; Ms Mafe, Mr Oladeji; Mrs Odewale; Mr Timothy Ogiaga and Mrs Adetunji. The New Staff members assigned to the hall includes: Mr Owoseni, Dr Odewale, Mrs Ekhelah, Mrs Ajayi, Mr Alele, Mrs Akinyode.
