The second round of games was completed at the Rotimi Alli inter-floor Competition on Saturday 2nd March 2024 at the Zik Hall Maracana.
The floor for the second round set of games was opened by D1 who battled it out against B3, in a scintillating encounter and free scoring game ending 5-2 in favor of D2 and the likes of scoring and Jay Kareem scoring a hattrick to add to his goal tally. The competition also featured a walk-over victory for b1 since alumni block refused to show up for the second time in the competition.
After defeating D2 3-1, C1 also secured their spot in the quarterfinals thanks to their outstanding goalie Amaechi, who scored twice during the course of the game. A2 was left with zero points after failing to produce a result in a crucial match against A3, losing one goal to none thanks to an own goal by Dibia McEarner.
Other results includes B4 thumping A4 by five goals to nil with the likes of Isco, warris finding the back of the net. In a match played later in the day between c2 and c4 , khalusta netted a hatrick to help his side thump C 4 by 4 goals to one. , C3 unexpectedly managed to draw even with the highly skilled B2.
With the likes of D1 , C1, A3, B2 and B4 making it to the quarter finals it’s all to look out for in the Sunday encounter for teams vying to make it into the remaining 3 slots.
