The student union of the University of Ibadan has announced it's resolve to commit to research works, awareness campaigns, development of materials, collaborations and innovations towards reducing the menace of substance abuse.

This was revealed in a letter dated 4th March, 2024, and signed by the Union President Samuel Samson Tobiloba and Union Secretary Sodeeq Dolapo.

According to the letter, the SRC had on 20th January, 2024 adopted this proposal presented by the president Samuel Samson Tobiloba, on the five year commitment plan to fight Drug Abuse.

It is in view of this that a UI'SU Drug Abuse Action Committee (UI'SU -DAAC) has been created. Interested volunteers are encouraged to apply via https://shorturl.at?uBF04

Recall that earlier this session, Nnamdi Azikiwe hall had organized a march against drug abuse as part of activities commemorating the hall's 60th anniversary.
