In a letter by the Speaker of the University of Ibadan Student Representative Council, Rt. Hon. Olamide Omotunde to the Disciplinary Committee, the Executive Council and other Honorable members of the House, it was stated that that the House Secretary of the Students Union, Oluwole Ayomide allegedly collected cash payment from a vendor in the Student Union Building, contravening article V (5) of the Students Union Constitution.
According to article V (5) of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union Constitution, the “Treasurer shall receive, and account for all the Union’s monies derived from all sources." Therefore, the collection of payment by the House Secretary is a breach of the constitution.
But in further discoveries by ZHPO, Sanjay collected cash payment from the said vendor without remitting any amount to the Treasurer.
As it stands, the Speaker has requested the Disciplinary Committee of further investigation into the case.
