D1 Trash C1 7-3 As Zik Hall Inter-floor Quarter-final Ties Concludes

The second round of games was completed at the Rotimi Alli inter-floor Competition on Saturday, 9th of March at Zik Hall Maracanã.


The first game featured the star-studded  D1 against the underdogs C1, in a free-scoring match seeing D1 dominate from the blast of the whistle to the end. It was the highest goal-scoring game in the competition so far, ending 7-3 in favor of D1, with Babs and  Jay Kareem registering their names on the scoresheet, with the latter bagging a hattrick, widening the gap as the tournament's top scorer. 


As a testament to D1's cruising past their opponent, the goalie, Koulibali also delivered some mind-blowing assists. The encounter was a routine victory for D1 as they advanced to the semis as favorites.


B1 and A3 also battled it out in a tough encounter featuring the likes of Natty Ace against Agbowo’s. In an evenly contested encounter penalties was the ultimate decider as both sides forced a 1-1 draw. Agbowo’s side was edged out of the competition with Natty Ace’s penalty sending his side to the semis.


A commanding 6-1 victory was secured by an outstanding B4 team, which saw goals from Chris, Dele, Korede, Isco, and Bam T scoring a screamer among others.


A4 and B2 wrapped up the round of games played With A4 advancing producing an upset  in a 4-1 bashing of B2 knocking them out of the competition.


The semi-final matches hold on the 16th of March as the boys are further distinguished from the men.
