The final of the Barrister Rotimi Alli Inter-floor competition held on Saturday, 27th November with C1 emerging the undisputed champion.
A quick first half brace set the tone as C1 defeated C3 3-1 to claim ultimate victory. Two quick first half goals were enough to swing momentum in the direction of C1 as they registered their intent from the very first minutes of the match. Although C3 tried to fight their way back into the match with a goal of their own, their effort was undone as C1 capitalized on awareness of C3’s defense to register a third goal and seal the victory.
In the third place match that took place on the same day, B2 defeated C4 with five goals to four on penalties to claim the third place, after they held each other to an intense 3-3 draw.
Jamiu Kareem of C1 emerged as the highest goalscorer and most valuable player of the tournament, after scoring twelve goals in the course of the tournament. In an interview with him, he dedicated the awards to the glory of God and his teammates and coaches who believed in him.
In another chat with Mr Oluremeta Ifeoluwa George, who emerged as the best coach in the tournament after leading the C1 to title, praised the hardwork of his players and said despite most of them being part of the Zik Hall team, that it was their dedication and not leaving anything to chance that led to their victory in the tournament.
In another chat with Zik Hall Sport Minister, Mr Akande Peter was happy about the success of the tournament, despite all the challenges they faced in the organisation of a successful tournament. He also spoke on the absence of the competition’s Patron, Barrister Rotimi Alli, who was represented by his wife and children, because he was out of the state as of the moment and the Hall Warden who was represented by one of the Assistant Hall Wardens in the person of Barrister Dr P. Oke.
He also spoke on why the final match of the tournament was brought forward as against the normal tradition of organising it during the Hall week, citing the invitation of OAU’s Awolowo hall, who have been invited as guest in a novelty match against Zik Hall, scheduled for the upcoming Hall week.

There were awesome prizes for the participants, as the winner, C1 clinched cash prize of fifty thousand naira, while the runner up went home with a sum of twenty thousand and the third place team got a sum of ten thousand naira for their efforts.
