This semester has been a sporty one due to the lively Inter-Hall competitions that has taken place, furnishing several skills as potentials are also explored. Many students have been able to get an improved set of skills which is a good platform for the birth of future Olympic Champions.
Recently, the Faculty of the Social Sciences dared the Lions of the Baluba Kingdom, the champion among other mini-Halls. They challenge results in the birth of the first ever UI super cup.
The idea sprouted from Oyeyemi Michael King also known as the IMMORTAL striker of the FATSSA football team, he is known to have a well-developed football coordination with a top-notch powerful shot which often make keepers go spineless.
This idea later became a deal as the genius coach of the great Baluba kingdom accepted after consulting the opinions of the players, and presently, October 22nd has been suggested for the showdown.
The two parties are working very hard to get sponsors for this great event. Initially, they wanted it to be a normal match without any prize or medals but later changed the direction of the wheel so as to get sponsors for this great match, It is hoped that they get one for the occasion to be well-spiced.
Another riddle to be solved by the players is to choose the team they want to play for as we have some players in the Zik Hall football team who are also from the Faculty of the Social Sciences. Players like Olabamiwo Emmanuel ( the furious Kante), Adediran Adedayo(DY). After investigation, it was realised that these two players put Zikism in front of their faculty as they chose to play for the Baluba lions rather than their Faculty.
Surely, Franco burger is ready, Maniggy is set, DY is ready to put in his best, Emmanuel is ready to frustrate the living hell out of them. Skinny, ma fo.
Some Zikites were asked on their stand concerning the match. Ajibade Israel also known as ISCO from C31 said “the match is going to be a 50-50 chance.” Ikpi Kelvin, an adroit player of the Faculty of Agriculture also said both teams are evenly matched. While popular opinion may suggest that both teams are good, one thing is certain, the match will be one of a kind in the history of intra-campus football fixtures.
